An Analysis
of the Status Quo of the Utilization of College of Management, HUST Tutor: Zhang Jinlong Graduate Student: Shuai Chuanmin Date: April 1999 ABSTRACT
China
is a big country of agriculture. The utilization of foreign capital to develop
export-oriented agro-economy is not only beneficial to the promotion of the
poverty relief and prosperity in the vast rural areas, but also plays an active
role in the development of the national economy and the social stability
throughout China. In this essay, beginning with an introduction to the status of
the utilization of foreign capital home and abroad, a thorough analysis is made
of the achievements, existing problems and their solutions in the field of
foreign capital utilization in agriculture in China during the last 20 years
ever since the country’s reform and open policy started. It also elaborates on
the different management models of the foreign-funded agricultural projects in
China. On the basis of the background information of the successful project
management experience of the “Integrated Agricultural Development Project in
the Wuling Mountains”, it puts forward to some suggestions on further
increasing the management skills and overall benefit of these projects. This
essay consists of five chapters. In
Chapter One, it depicts the great promotive role of foreign-funded agricultural
projects on the development of agriculture and rural economy and the theoretical
basis for the utilization of foreign capital. Chapter
Two gives an introduction to the situation of foreign capital utilization home
and abroad in different historic periods and deals with the strategies of
foreign investment in China and the countermeasures China should take. In
Chapter Three, it systematically analyses the status quo of the foreign capital
utilization in agriculture in China, the characteristics of the foreign-funded
projects and the existing problems in the utilization of foreign capital in the
field of agriculture. On the basis of this, it puts forward to the
countermeasures for the speed-up of the introduction of foreign capital in the
field of agriculture in China. In
Chapter Four, suggestions are made on how to increase the management skills and
the overall benefit of the foreign-funded agricultural projects, on the basis of
elaborating on the management system and the present management models of the
major types of foreign-funded agricultural projects in China. Chapter
Five gives you a detailed introduction to the management models and management
measures of the “Integrated Agricultural Development Project in the Wuling
Mountains, Exi Sub-project” assisted by the World Food Program. Key Words: Agriculture,
